FAQ
No. Heart Rate Insights is for personal review of heart-rate patterns. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
The app needs permission to read heart-rate data. If workout filtering is enabled, it may also use workout information to help separate workout-related readings from day-to-day patterns.
The app can show deterministic sample data before you grant access, including Daily, Insights, Patterns, Explore, reports, and the AI prompt workflow. Your personal results require Apple Health heart-rate readings on your device.
Not automatically. Heart Rate Insights creates a reviewable prompt from compact chart aggregates. No AI runs inside the app. Copy and Share remain disabled until you review the package and acknowledge that it may leave your device. The receiving service's privacy policy applies after you share it.
Explore lets you examine a period, compare date ranges or custom time windows, and investigate standout weeks through level, rhythm, and spread charts. Open a week for nearby-week and prior-28-day context. Patterns applies the app's longer-term pattern checks to a selected range and shows the evidence and data-quality requirements behind the result.
Median is the middle heart-rate value after the relevant daily or hourly summaries are ordered. The typical range shows where most eligible summaries fell. Coverage and eligible-day counts help show how much recorded data supports those values. The app uses these as descriptive summaries, not medical thresholds.
Open Reports & Export near the bottom of Daily or under Data & Privacy in Settings. PDF reports are designed for readable sharing, while CSV files contain spreadsheet-ready readings for the range you select. Files are created only when you choose.
Email heart-rate-insights-privacy@jenny.media with the details of your concern.
