Overview
Heart Rate Insights is designed for private, personal review of heart-rate patterns on iPhone and iPad. The app reads Apple Health data only after you grant permission. Health data is processed on your device.
Heart Rate Insights is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Health data
With your permission, the app may read heart-rate data from Apple Health. If workout filtering is enabled, the app may also use workout information to help identify readings that overlap with workouts.
The app uses this data to calculate Daily, Insights, Patterns, and Explore views; comparisons; ignored-day handling; exports; and user-initiated AI analysis prompt packages.
Data storage
Health data, imported readings, analysis results, settings, and export history are intended to stay on your device. The app may store local cached data so it can open faster and show previous analysis without reimporting everything each time.
An installation upgraded from an older version may still contain a retired Local AI model or saved Local AI conversations. The current app does not offer that on-device chat to new users and provides controls to remove any legacy files that remain.
Heart Rate Insights does not sell your health data and does not use health data for advertising.
Data sharing
Heart Rate Insights does not automatically send your Apple Health heart-rate data or generated AI prompt packages to Jenny Media servers or to an AI provider. PDF reports, CSV files, and AI analysis prompt packages are created only when you choose to export, copy, or share them.
An AI analysis prompt package can include aggregate heart-rate values, exact dates and date ranges, source-reading counts, data-coverage counts, analysis settings such as configured workdays and time windows, and selected chart-point facts. It does not include individual HealthKit readings or HealthKit source names.
Copying a package places it on the system clipboard, which may make it available to your other devices through Apple features such as Universal Clipboard. Sharing or pasting the package into another app or AI service sends it to the recipient you choose. That recipient's privacy, retention, and AI-training policies apply.
AI analysis prompts
The app creates deterministic prompt text from compact aggregate data used by its charts. No AI model runs inside Heart Rate Insights, and the app does not automatically contact ChatGPT, Gemini, or another AI service. You choose a suggested question or write your own, review the included range and complete prompt, and explicitly acknowledge external sharing before Copy or Share is enabled.
The package omits individual raw HealthKit records, exact reading timestamps, and HealthKit source names. It can include aggregate values, exact dates and ranges, source-reading counts, coverage counts, and analysis settings. Aggregate health information is still sensitive and may leave your device when you copy or share it.
AI services can make mistakes. Generated responses are not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency guidance.
Support communications
If you email support, the message and any attachments leave your device and are processed by the mail providers used to deliver and receive the message. They may remain in support mailboxes or provider backups while the request is handled and according to those providers' retention practices.
Email support is not a secure health-data upload channel. Redact personal details and do not send Apple Health exports, heart-rate values, health screenshots, or generated reports. Public GitHub issues should contain only non-sensitive descriptions.
Analytics and tracking
The app is intended to operate without third-party advertising trackers. If analytics are added in the future, this policy and the App Store privacy details will be updated before release.
Website logs
This website may be hosted by infrastructure providers that process standard server logs, such as IP address, request path, browser information, and timestamp, for security and reliability.
