# Device depiction provenance

Public images in `../screenshots/framed/` are finished depictions of this Apple-platform app using sample data. The original frame templates remain local authoring inputs; no standalone frame PNG is included in the website.

Unmodified original PNGs were downloaded from [Apple Design Resources](https://developer.apple.com/design/resources/). The retained package licenses explain the permitted mockup depiction use and prohibit extracting or redistributing their template content as separate assets. Use these depictions only for the Apple-platform app; do not extract the frame artwork.

Source checksums/dimensions are in `official-assets.json`. `scripts/build_website_framed_images.cjs` exports complete compositions. Screen-only viewer originals remain unchanged.

`scripts/build_website_duo_images.py` checks artwork and native-source digests, exports complete Duo depictions and screen-only viewer copies. Native light/dark synthetic fixture PNGs live in `docs/qa/duo-adaptive-layouts/2026-10-02/website-source/`. No standalone Duo frame or mask is published.
